New project announcement! So the lovely Robyn Schneider has a new YA book, Extraordinary Means, coming out on May 26th with Harper Collins.
Synopsis: Up until his diagnosis, Lane lived a fairly predictable life. But when he finds himself at a tuberculosis sanatorium called Latham House, he discovers an insular world with paradoxical rules, med sensors, and an eccentric yet utterly compelling confidante named Sadie—and life as Lane knows it will never be the same.
Robyn recently asked me to collaborate with her on making a book trailer for Extraordinary Means. I said Y E S, threw a dance party in my head, and scurried off to read the advance copy of the book she gave me.
And oh man, can I just say that I’m super excited to be doing this? Most of you probably already know of my adapting-YA-fiction obsession from my I Didn’t Write This series. Extraordinary Means features alternating first person narrators which is one of my very favorite things, and I especially loved, loved, loved Sadie, in a her-thoughts-were-my-thoughts-once kind of way. Lane is also probably a prototype of the exact kind of boy I used to developed instant crushes on in high school, which is always a nice character to spend a whole novel with.
The finished book trailer will be on Robyn’s channel, here. I’ll also be posting behind the scenes and such on my channel. We’re in pre-production now and aiming for release in April, so keep an eye out for more updates!
